Typo: last line – “heart” discard, not diamond.
Can 5D can be found if South opens with 2D or if North starts with 1NT?
Hi Jim2,
Yes, but worse than a typo, an inexcusable error which believe it or not, escaped several minds, mine the last.
Not the first time that I wished myself cursed with TOCM TM, to which I could perhaps have received some sympathy.
At least you would have been dealt East having 5 spades and West the AKQ of clubs tripleton.
Hi AVRR,
Yes, the bidding could go:
South North
1D 1S
2D 2H (for want of a better description)
2S 3D (GF)
3H 4D
5D Pass
At least in my dreams!
Hi again Jim2,
I should have added,”while defending 3NT”.
