HI Bobby,

Loved the quote today and I found a load more which I liked too at: https://www.honeycopy.com/copywritingblog/charles-bukowsk-quotes.

One for any romantics reading this:

The free soul is rare, but you know it when you see it – basically because you feel good, very good, when you are near or with them. Charles Bukowski

Regards,

Iain

Also, on LWA, the 6S bidder is surely well-prepared for a H lead which suggest partner either doesn’t have the Ace or (perhaps more likely) declarer has a void, although partner might have raised with Ax(x) or Kxx I suppose. There again, with HA and a minor suit K sitting over the doubler he might have fancied defending a slam.

Hi Iain,

You specifically, act and write like the majestic “free soul” Charles Bukowski raves about.

However, when playing bridge with a erstwhile critical partner, one needs to understand being taken behind the woodshed, simply because it is very likely to happen.

Perhaps the above combination is to be avoided, finally discovering a chink in our wonderful game’s otherwise, almost perfect reputation.
