Hi Iain,
While you wrote yesterday about the sentimentality of Auld Land Syne, I remember snippets of it long ago, from more years than I care to mention but:
“We two have paddled in the stream, from morning sun to dine, but seas between us broad have roared, since long ago in line”.
“And surely you’ll buy your pint jug, and surely I’ll buy mine and we’ll take a cup of KINDNESS yet but always feel in time”. (best line)
Knowing you and all the many and spectacular others (on this site), along with Judy, has created the best time of my life, certainly the most nostalgic and, no doubt, with great love.
Hi Bobby,
Many thanks for that and I hope you and Judy have a great time over the festive season. Here’s to those who are coming up with a vaccine, though – they, along with frontline medical staff, have been the heroes this year.
Regards,
Iain
