Hi Everyone,
It is with happy thought that I see both Thursday and Friday up and waving.
My somewhat unpredictable bridge world was fast evaporating the last two days, but suddenly, after much hounding, and magical cooperation, my favorite subject returned, heartily missed but instead, apparently healthy and unscathed.
Thursday’s hand was a bridge version of Tom & Jerry or simply cat and mouse. Notice that the 2 heart opening showed hearts and a minor, not a weak 2 bid, enabling South to duck and live, rather than to win and not.
However it also shows an advantage to declarer’s who sometimes vary their tactics (should they play weak 2 bids, but with occasional five card suits).
Because of obvious space considerations we refrained from delving.
Welcome back!
Iain
Hi Iain,
Thanks and appreciate your concern, but I never wanted to leave.
