Yes, f2f high-level (or basically any level) bridge likely appears to most as the way to go, particularly so for (trying to read the opponents, and, or, the social implications, as well as a very underrated commodity, years of experience).
Good luck in Austin and even so long ago when I went to school there, vintage 1950, (my address 2626 Speedway, high upon a hill) it was a great “little” town which since, has grown BIG!
