Hi Dear Mr Wolff
This is regarding South’s play at T1. He has the option of playing dummy’s K if he decides that West led from a five carded suit with Axxxx as the suit gets blocked and if east unblocks, south has a second stopper. However this would backfire if west led from AQxxx. But it is also possible that West has only four carded diamond in which case, it is immaterial which card is played from dummy as south will not have any problem. A tricky judgement indeed

Hi AVRR,

Yes you are, as usual. correct as you can be. However to so do, would qualify declarer as a supreme mastermind (not just a regular one) requiring him to, no doubt, go down on many favorably distributed hands
to which the significant majority have scored up.

Not a favorable moniker, but, of course when it works, will enable that declarer a great story. However, in the long run (to which good bridge seems to favor), better do the normal thing and thought OK, instead of not and feel great remorse, especially to partner (if you can still find one).

No doubt, today’s hand (complications and all), requires a great defense by East, which in turn will cause others to flock toward, instead of away, (especially, because it worked).
