Hi Dear Mr Wolff
Very instructive hand. Even doubledummy, it would be difficult for an average player to spot the winning line.
And perhaps Middleton’s quote could even read : A really quiet life can come only after substantial hardwork

Hi AVRR,

In today’s era of mass communications, the quiet life is difficult to manage at all. Turning off the laptop and mobile (cell) phone for a while can work though.

Regards,

Iain

Hi lain
Perhaps quiet life should be interpreted in a different perspective gadgets notwithstanding

Hi AVRR,

Yes hard work for even when numbers come naturally, much more so, when they do not.

Quiet life used to be thought of as romantic and close to perfect, but now it may be concentrated
on getting rid of this awful pandemic.

Hi Iain,

It is thought by some that “life is what you make it”.

Possibly true and I’ve happily never owned a
“cell phone”, but merely owning a computer (of course, necessary to me) is difficult enough, but without which, since our really special group is not exactly, at my age, within walking distance, at least would have been deprived of meeting up with you and so many other wondrous wannabe lifetime friends.
