Hi Bobby,
This is purely being able to see 52 cards but imagine the havoc if West found a small hear lead. Declared might be forced to hope H are 8-1, trumps split and that west has DAK and CA. If he tries the HA, as Coleridge said, a sadder and a wider man he rose the morrow morn!
Regards
Iain
Hi Iain,
Different from today’s quote,I will probably not be boring you if I do not speak with forked tongue when I say if West would tell you that he led the 6 of hearts against 4 spades (with the auction as described) either he was privy to the board when it was either dealt or electronically inserted and furthermore if it was the first board of two to be played, I would suggest that he just put in the result beforehand on the board still to be played, rather than to waste time playing it.
Also if I carried a weapon and I still lived in Texas, my birth state, if what you suggest would have happened I would be guilty of murder, but in Texas they would have ruled it Justifiable Homicide, the same law they had long ago if you caught your wife cheating, but not the same for a wife doing the same thing, if she caught her husband, (not necessarily only at bridge).
BTW, thanks for your post, even though your suggestion, no thanks to me, took on a vicious tone.
