Hi Bobby,
Just out of interest, how would you play 7D single dummy on an uninterrupted auction and the same awkward lead, killing an entry to dummy?
Ruffing 2 H and hoping the J drops and that the D8 doesn’t get over-ruffed is one option, but I don’t think setting up the spades can ever work. The “best” line is probably to blame partner for not having the DJ here although then the standard trump lead versus a grand slam would wreck matters.
I’m now out of the plaster cast and my foot is healing far more quickly than the doctors expected given my age (64) although I won’t be jogging for a few months.
Regards,
Iain.
Also, if West butts in with 2N on the main column (play) hand, how would the auction continue?
