I wonder how many East’s would double 2C here? No difference today but imagine South had CJx. That would probably deter him from bidding 4S but West’s likely lead from Q10x would melt the frozen suit!

Methinks many East’s would double two clubs, which possibly could cause the final contract to be 5 clubsX EW, down 300.
Not terribly likely because of the relatively bland nature of the EW hands, but maybe for around an average result, considering the random nature of 4S being both fulfilled and down or for that matter, either bid or not by NS.
