At any lower level, a club comes back at T2 and declarer has no further problems although if East can overruff dummy while asking for a heart, then the contract if off pdq. Just goes to show the difference between good class players and even better than capable ones.

Hi Bobby,
A diabolical hand. I thought there may be a way to bring home the contact after East ducks diamonds twice. Drop a heart and club on the ducks. Then lead the last spade from dummy to extract West’s exit card. Now lead a club to cash the KJ. Finally lead the KH.
Alas, West ducks and the ship goes down. Similarly, dropping two hearts does not help as East cannot be coerced into giving up his QC.
