This hand reminds me of Trump Coup Tommy, who appeared regularly in the column by Tannah Hirsch and Omar Sharif. Tommy was a bumbling declarer—except against a bad trump split, and seemingly magically brought home the contract, with a trump coup. Unfortunately, fewer syndicated columns (and fewer newspapers), but I learned to rise to the occasion, thanks to Tommy. So many good columns from many writers over the years, a few minutes of joy to uplift the day. But over the years, this column may be the best, thanks to Bobby, and all the commentators I too look forward reading..

Somehow, I’m not sure why, I do appreciate your valued interest, perhaps because of your bridge loving, maybe because of your overall writing technique, or “what do you know Joe”? your comment about the uplifts from many writers. It couldn’t possibly be because of what you might think best. I, and all the fickle people who blog here.
But, anyway, please continue to stop off, especially if in need of a bridge fix.
