Hi Dear Mr Wolff
Very well played making seven after defense erred a bit. But perhaps NS with so many points and superfit in diamonds could be playing six diamonds. Always makes as the cards lay. If declarer escapes club lead, draw trumps, pitch club K on third spade and concede a heart and if even defense finds club lead, run spades and diamonds south discarding a club and a heart and the three card ending is hopeless for west as he is squeezed in rounded suits

PS: for past five to six days, there were problems in accessing the column on Google Chrome but I could access on Opera browser. However, today, even on Chrome, there is no problem.Just for information please

Hi AVRR,

We’ve had similar problems with an Ubuntu page coming up for me. I managed to contact Sally Sparrow who deals with these concerns and is very helpful.

Regards
