Shouldn’t Cole Porter change this bridge player’s song lyrics (last line) to “bridge players then know, something special goes”. Someone should then add, “It’s “Night and Day” that they should”. Da da! but only if they intend to “Begin the Beguine”!

Good hand today although a general thought on songs and tunes. The darker side f some partnerships is probably best covered by tragic opera (Tsca, Carmen or i Pagliacci) or maybe even by “Dat’s Opera Folks” – Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd gloriously lampooning Wagner. How many of us, when fixed, would feel Elmer is on the right tracks when (to Ride of the Valkyries) he sings “Kill da Wabbitt, Kill da Wabbitt” early on. Well worth a look if you can find it.
