With the benefit of hindsight, there is a 3rd mistake. If North redoubles (I’m not saying he should tbf) then NS just double anything that moves, EW are going for a fair old number!

Hi Iain,
If North redoubles, awkward, but possible it would likely be passed to West who would
TO to 1 heart and then for North to do anything but chirp 1 spade, there wouldn’t be a cow left in Texas.
Of course, in our dreams, we would dance the night fantastic, but then it is time to wake up and understand that even our wonderful game has limitations to which we can only talk about later, but unfortunately never score up, and, if we somehow did, until and unless NS confessed to a higher crime, nothing but vague suspicion would likely be as far as anyone
could go, with any proof.
