Although somewhat unprepared to quickly respond to your question, at least to my experience, sure South could be 5-3-3-2, but the sixth spade feels better for NT since
that extra good card (hoped to be a quicker winner) might be the contract trick, allowing the strange ending, where the idea of nine tricks. will be better suited to an extra spade trick. Also with a 5-any 3-3-2 with 19 points would likely start out with 2NT and spades never getting bid. Less informative, and not unduly vague. Close, but sometimes necessary for success.
