A good lesson but the warning bell doesn’t get rung at the table – except perhaps at London rubber bridge clubs in the 1950s when expert kibitzers sat in on potential improvers and apparently rung a bell if there were mistakes, generally in the play.
“Here’s a defensive problem….” is never said when it matters, only in the post mortem and when showing the hand to others!
