In the 2017 Mud Cup (where this hand was originally dealt), this was played in 3N by North at almost all tables on the simple bidding of 2H – 3N.

At basically all 3N tables, the 10S was led, declarer won the third round, went KH, AH, then led a minor suit and either finessed the QD or rose with the KC for 9 tricks.

The solo top went to the declarer that first led to the KC, cashed out hearts, and later finessed the QD.

Hi Jim2,

Thanks for not revealing the G2 and appropriate costs which hounded the solo top winner
on his way to a top during the 2017 Mud Cup event. Later, likely due to his mind’s excitement, he revoked twice, turning average boards into zeroes, leaving him more bereft, than merely canceling out his Pyrrhic victory.

However Lena the Hyena, his regular partner, through bad times as well as good, did manage to reward him later for making use of her privileged information.
