Hi AVRR,
Yes, of course and by dropping the king pf spades under the opponent’s ace, you are complimenting your partner’s slam raise, by telling him that you were about to either make his bid or, if not, be unlucky in possessing the wrong major suit king.
Always try and be a caring bridge partner, that is, if you expect him or her, to return that favor.

I like the SK play but it would just stress out some partners! There could be a RR twist to this though e.g. the Six were stuck together and both hit the deck. SB jumps in as East and insists the SK be played so RR doesn’t get the chance not to ruff a spade.

Hi Iain,
Intelligent false carding should rank as one of the proper advantages of the expert since, when one engages in, it sometimes has huge upsides and creates the difference. Adding to that, opponents will be given even one more chore while defending, always being wary of what declarer is presenting, truth or consequences.
Something like women to men, mystery with their intelligence and looks,
Now why would I mention such a change of subject on a bridge site?
Never? but I am willing to wager, many of us, prefer to hide our age and let our memories do the walking, in one way or the other.
Regarding your curse, perhaps just a repeated reminder that counting (this time to 1000) is the hallmark of the bridge expert.
