On Bridge To Far’s query, if forced at gunpoint to open that rubbish I think I’d have tried 2D to take up some space aand not delude partner that I have many high cards. Something like Qxx xx KQ109x Jxx would still be far better if I’m going to go fr such a distorted bid though.

My only comment on the hand in question would be from what you wrote, but one
strategy sort of resonates as positive to, when playing against oft times quality opponents (example, a long term partnership) if at all reasonable, try different modes of strategy, not allowing them (as time goes by) to have the advantage
pf counting heavily on your style, often repeated in the various specific parts of our game such as being a quick or slow doubler, or even a chronic false carder and/or
almost always taking the push or the other extreme, preferring defense to hand hogging.
Nothing wonderful, but likely, over the long haul, becoming a more likely overall winner.
