Hi Everyone,

Nothing much to advertise or suggest except
possibly declarer’s dismay when he finds that as soon as he opens this borderline hand as dealer, hears the bidding and then receives the opening lead, two of his possible assets, king of spades and the 10 of hearts and even the 10 of diamonds (with a different opening lead), loudly echoing Lord Byron’s wise and pertinent quote.

Of course, a slightly different EW defense, a club lead, (barely mentioned due to lack of space) may have saved their day for them, but all’s fair with declarer taking advantage of that tiny and wildly unlikely (with West’s hand) overall defensive opportunity.

Player’s luck made it possible, but necessarily, competent declarer’s play, completed the job.
