Hi Everyone,

In some ways a relatively simple, but very effective defensive play required at trick two by an alert and very knowledgeable player sitting East.

No doubt that defensive gem could easily be used as a “par hand” in determining the status of a wannabe excellent bridge player.
IOW, being able to make that “killing switch, for the right reason, with the whole approximate layout envisioned.

As a final comment, a student of our magnificent pastime might then realize what an overwhelming factor in determining what it takes to become an acknowledged expert with our highly competitive game is a “special” talent for simple arithmetic, applicable to anyone who wants to move up the list as a potential expert in our, no doubt, challenging game.

Counting, counting, and then again, counting!
