South got it wrong but maddeningly for him/her, if playing with North who likes to play the game by “rules”, they’ll be told “2nd hand plays low” on the heart switch. True here but not exactly helpful!

Didn’t you have a mother like mine who use to scream at me “Please follow the rules I make, they might not be good ones but, after all, I am your mother, and I make them”.
Makes sense to me and I followed them and am still alive so thanks mom, where-ever you happen to be.
