Hi Bobby,
Isn’t 3H a little more sensible than 4C on the main hand today? Even doubling 3C for blood and leading a D seems better.

There you go, issuing flattery to all you observe, or did I spell it correctly? I think not!
Perhaps it is only one week out of every month that one prefers an eight card fit in a major rather than of nine. And to do so, would usually be trying to get one defender on lead rather than his partner with some trick holding another reason, though unlikely.

Loved and certainly agree to your first sentence, although I cannot say the same for your second. Perhaps if you exchange your red suit holdings I would think differently, but even then, I would want a club honor in hand to combat poor luck with partner’s defensive potential
