Hi Everyone,

This hand, among other virtues, well represents Cicero’s poignant quote. The silent prudence
is mainly gleaned from the bidding and the early fall of the cards, while the loquacious folly
becomes controlled by taking maximum advantage of the simple matching up of envisioning
what’s left in their hands, as the quitted tricks, take their toll.

IOW, like many to most declarer play hands, but perhaps one, with against normal odds with suit splits, but still manageable, assuming that silent prudence has been well spent.

Advantage? No doubt, a wide awake declarer.

Hi Bobby,

A very instructive hand and the combination of cross-ruff and/or setting up suits is always tricky. How many of us would have played off one top trump early on though “to have a look” and that is goodbye I suspect? Just as long as East isn’t up to a wold of no good with a 5233 hand, D10xx and a false card f the CA on the second round.

Regards,

Iain
