Hi Dear Mr Wolff/ Barry
It would be imaginative defense had east pitched A of heart on third club. But still, west should be alert. Suppose declarer after winning third club , leads two top diamonds from hand. West can pitch only a club. Declarer leads remaining diamond. West should be on his toes and pitch a spade. Pitching club would neutralize threat in that suit and south can concede a heart after cashing top cards and claim. But declarer too should be alert. If he carelessly cashes top hearts, before diamonds, west can see east not following and easily work out declarer to be 2533 and would discard spade and the contract cannot be brought in

Hi Mr. AV,

You’ve earned an extra plaudit to your bridge showcase. Keep going and you’ll own the whole damn game. Please excuse my saucy, but appreciative
admiration.
