Hi Bobby,
It is normally unfair to blame one mistake for losing a match but East ducking the CA and West’s unwise double of 2S yesterday probably vie with each other to carry the can here. Which two players were buying the beer or even walking home form the tournament?
Any case for just bidding 3H (or whatever you use as a sound raise to 3H) on BWTA or is it too cautious?
regards,
Iain
Hi Iain,
And a very good question which I will be happy to give you my view.
Methinks the conditions are present for the slightly aggressive response to 4 hearts, principally because all the defense rates to be in one hand, and also to be known as such, therein allowing an able declarer, maximum advantage to strut his talent.
In addition, luck may also suggest that defensive handicap may even begin on the choice of the opening lead, which in fact occurred.
And besides, why not me fudging a bit, when all 52 cards are in view, allowing me great latitude to explain how the cow ate the cabbage. Chomp, chomp, are is that UDDER nonsense?
