Hi Bobby,

At pairs, after D to the A and a S to the K, South can get greedy and play a small club. Even if West jumps in with the CA and plays a diamond, South can then ruff his master club and lead another trump off the table. This has the merit of coping with East having 4 trumps and West improbably being 1-1-6-5.

Happy New Year and welcome back.

Hi Iain,

Well thought out, but relying for East to not possess 4-6 in the minors wherein East can over ruff the third round of clubs and then give West a heart ruff (West being 2-1-4-6)

Hi again,

Of course, I meant West, not East, being 4-6 in the minors.

Hi Bobby,

A case where greed is not good (Michael Douglas in Wall Street).
