Does the new site include “Bid with the Aces?” If so, how is it accessed?
Thanks

Hi (or bonjour) Mr. Jack of Spades and Folks,

The site can be accessed by clicking on the “Bridge.com” words in the panel above but it looks like there is no “Bid with the Aces” section. Somebody else raised the same question on the new site,

Regards,

Iain

Also, one cannot comment unless one “joins” or “logs in to their account” and they “promise never to sell your personal info” or something.

You do need to create an account, but only to prevent spam, bots, or abusive language that has no place on a Bridge community site.
The Terms and Conditions are clear: Bridge.com does not sell your personal information and does not work with third-party companies.

HI Jim2,

I’m not too worried about that but it didn’t used to be necessary. Probably reduces the amount of admin for someone tbf but all a bit of a shame having our little community disappear. Happy to continue swapping horror stories if you want e.g. my recent falling for a Grosvenor with SQJ9xx opposite A8xx in hand after 1N by me – transfer to 2S by pard and all passed (even at pairs). LHO led S10 from K10 double at T1 and INEXPLICABLY (I know what he’s like on my lefyt) I fell for it and took the 2nd round finesse after the Q won at T1.

Take care,

Iain

Hi Folks,

A final thought before heading off to Brideg.com in the future. There is a lovely line in “The Princess Bride” where the hero (disguised and not recognised by the heroine ) says “Life is pain, Highness; anyone who says otherwise is selling something”. Applies to life, work, bridge (especially TOCM), you name it.

I’ll probably join eventually. I love spam emails.
