Hi Everyone,

And afterward shouldn’t South, declarer, be able to say to his partner, ” I gave my heart
away to an opponent, West, so that you, along with I, could be fulfilled”?

Hi Patrick,

Leave it to you to answer and you come up with the picture perfect response, drawing a big smile from your very long time friend and admirer except for your English (not American but perhaps Chinese and especially from England, spelling) of humor.

Hi Bobby,Playing online, north AKJ5 J763 AKJ2 6 south QT7 K942 Q543 J7. NS vul Biddg went N 1D-2C- south X- pass-north 3S-4C- pass- pass north 4H pass out.. West 9632 QT8 96 T953 East 84 A5 T87 AKQ842 4H makes 4S looks like -1.Could you please advise as to how the bidding might go as a lot of pairs did not reach game..and what happens if East did not bid 4C..what should South bid?

Perhaps North could bid 4C asking South to pick a major? It just came to me. If North is weaker he would simply bid his better major..

Hi Patrick,

You chose the right solution, 4 clubs, at the very least, my choice, since even experienced partnerships do not take the time to discuss all forms of forcing or not situations.
