I was North when this hand was dealt in the 2013 Slush Cup. I realized pard must be 5-4-0-4 and bid the cold club grand.
Unfortunately, the opponents had also been listening to the bidding and bid 7D.
The only consolation, if indeed there was one, was that +1400 was the same zero we would have gotten if we had bid and made only 6H.

That’s a tough field if they are all making +1430 – nobody in 6C+1 for 1390 or even going off in 6H?

Historically, the field at the Mud Cup is somewhat weaker than at the Slush Cup.
TOCM (TM) is the only constant.
