In Outgunned, maybe just leave the double in place? I agree partner should have passed and arguably, you should have as well. However, you happen to have four diamonds and partner’s bid suggests roughly the shape she has (otherwise, if she felt compelled to act, why would she double instead of just bidding hearts or supporting spades?). It seems there is a decent chance, opps would have continued bidding letting you off the hook and, if not, how badly are you really likely to be hurt?
But, yeah, maybe one or both should have just kept their mouths shut on this one.
