With all the remaining honors placed with east, perhaps there is more than one way to kill the cat. Even when south wins the lead,( best is to duck) draws trumps and plays back a club. Say west wins and returns club. Dummy ruffs and leads spade J. East must cover else south has ten tricks. East covers and is allowed to hold the trick. East is done. A pointed suit return fetches an extra trick and club return provides diamond discard. If west returns diamond, south wins, ruffs club and leads spade J for similar endplay. And if west returns a spade, dummy plays J, east covers, south wins and plays three rounds of diamonds
