FWIW, and looking at all 4 hands, I’d probably have tried the SA at T1 dropping the S10 or J (trying to look like I had K10 or KJ10) then run the D10. If West wins (maybe he should duck?), dozes off and plays another spade then, as the cards lie, I can cash 2 top hearts then 3 diamonds shedding clubs and start bashing out spades losing 1 trump, 1D and 1 heart. Shouldn’t work of course but odder things have happened.

As usual, your additional conversation should lead the reader to still another avenue, therein proving again just how varied in thought our challenging game
sometimes becomes.
However, I need to, at least question, your otherwise wise intervention as to the defense that EW pair will now be failing to overcome. Sure, your experience tells you, that taking advantage of your opponent’s shortcomings is a very valid
exercise in winning, and the concept is indeed worth considering, but for practical
purposes, it should be unlikely when writing about it, that opponents will not
often (if ever) fall for such, when at the table, with the exception of West being in with North-South, when it comes time for East to either pay the debt
incurred or for practicing his swagger with a good game, for all to see.
However, for all good reasons, you are forgiven, since it is unlikely East is paying attention.
