Hi Dear Mr Wolff
Quite an instructive hand. It is essential to lead two rounds of trump. In case if they are 3-1 and spades are 1-5 or 2-5, south only needs diamond finesse as after clearing diamonds and running trumps, east would be squeezed in black suits. (It would work fine even if west held four or five spades and singleton heart) . But declarer should be careful to finesse J on first round of diamonds. Else it is probable that diamond may get ruffed. And if either E or W held five or more cards in both pointed suits, he would be squeezed
Regards
Hi AVRR,
Yes, I definitely agree, especially because of the optimism present (after seeing the dummy and considering the play), but then taking the time to draw two rounds of trump first, just in case that affordable safeguard ibecomes necessary.
A sort of safeguard, adding to the notion of a 100% line is not only better than a lesser percentage, but even a very good feeling inherent, regardless of whether it is needed.
Obviously then, an almost perfect example to use while dealing with talented and ambitious
students in their formulated years, to a hopeful wonderful result to be obtained.

Hi AVRR,
Sorry for the duplication. Perhaps I am getting too old to compete with you and other very talented bridge lovers.
No, not at all. The repetition I feel perhaps is merely a minor blind spot which perhaps occurs to all of us . In fact I have posted a couple of times on bridgewinners.com but there is a provision for deleting it on the site. Perhaps we also should have provision here for subsequent editing and deleting and btw, I think you are in wonderful shape mentally and I wish you many more years to remain so which would be nice of course to you and the bridge fraternity
Oops, In my hurry to post, I missed ” regards”
Regards again
