Hi Barry,
TOCM (ask Jim2 but basically lose-lose, like a Moron’s fork with lots more tines and really sharp ones) would result in East playing his small club back at T2 and West deciding that South must have J10x so there is no point in paying the Q (or it doesn’t matter). Of course West should cover but sometimes thought can misfire horribly. I have to admit I’d probably have tabled the CJ at T2 before thinking too much which explains a lot about why I never got as good at the game as I hoped to.

Also, on a purely double-dummy basis, does a D switch at T2 mess things up? I suppose South can throw 1D and 1S from dummy to get to a similar position although that gives up the chance of spade being 3-3. Fortunate that West had all the high diamonds the way that the play went.
