On BWTA, if the hand were (say) 4-3-3-3 or 4-3-2-4 shape, it may be tempting to bid 2H as partner is likely to have at least 4 (or know where he’s going otherwise). This should be resisted – partners almost always get over-excited when they wouldn’t after a 2C reply.
