I can see the logic o treatign 2H and 2D here as natural overcalls, especially on grounds of frequency. Once in a while, though, South may have some huge black 2 suiter and isn’t there a risk that partner with (say) a weak 2-5-4-2 or similar hand and decides to cur his losses by passing either 2NT or double? If South passes instead here and West bids 1N, then South could re-open with 2H on the hand shown. Any thoughts here? Unless I’d discussed this, I’d be very twitchy bidding 2H over 1H here especially with a scratch partner.
