Hi Iain,
With so much world unrest and killing going on (justified or not) it is indeed
difficult to feel “God is in his heaven, all’s right with this world”. Yes, the festive season is upon us, and I do feel fortunate that we, as a special group, are back in business, to enjoy our togetherness discussion about the game we all love.
Here is hoping, by the time next year’s festive season is upon us, the world will have settled down with ZERO wars going on, instead real love going on
and abject peace being the order of the day for both all countries getting along and bridge players stopping all kinds of cheating.
Likely a futile wish, but not my wishing your family and all others we have grown to know and love, a most happy holiday season and a superior
2024, especially with fewer politics, much less violence, and overall, healthier attitudes toward each other.
If bridge players, with their fierce competitive spirits, can get along, for others, it should become duck soup, and I don’t mean, playing low.
